Our Mission
To provide instruction in personal transformation that enlightens and enriches lives.
Leadership and management has been a buzzword for a number of years in training and development circles. As you are probably aware there is a plethora of academic and non academic training available that deals with skills acquisition in this area. Sapiential is not just more of the same.
Our uniqueness comes from our focus on character development as an integral part of personal transformation in leadership and management development. Why character development? Because character affects the choices we make, the quality of our relationships, the nature of our interactions and our private and public reputation and credibility. The importance of character should not be downplayed. Anyone can gain the necessary skills to lead and manage, but to leave it there is to present only half the picture. Personal effectiveness and fulfilment starts ‘within,’ as such an internal examination should form the basis of skills training and development in this area. Hence our motto ‘change your thinking.’
Sapiential is run by David and Lynette Tarr. Their mutual passion is to equip individuals to be effective in their personal and professional capacities. Lynette has extensive experience in leadership and management gained from various positions she has held in international development and education. She holds a first degree in English and Economic History, a Marketing diploma and a Masters degree in Leadership and Management. She is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Institute for Learning (IfL). Lynette is a skilled trainer and educator, as well as a gifted motivational speaker.
David has a wealth of experience in the self employment field managing several ventures. For a number of years he has been involved in a leadership capacity within an international charity based in London. He holds an honours degree in English and Theology and is in the final stages of a Masters degree in Theology. David has a powerful story of personal transformation and can attest to the benefits of character development on personal effectiveness.
